1. Laíla has worked for years as a volunteer for the Support Association for Children with Cancer, organizing the children’s parties. She also volunteered for the free cinema sessions offered by the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art. “Being in touch with people and making connections is what makes life worth living” is her motto.
2.  She believes that a good story needs to be accompanied by a great soundtrack. Laíla loves the most diverse types of music, but confesses that indie bands of the early 2000s are her favorites: Interpol, Fraz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Strokes, Block Party, Phoenix, among others. The affinity with the music world has already made her DJ at an underground club in São Paulo.
3. Speaking of music, her best professional experiences are related to the musical universe, Laíla has already worked as PR for the São Paulo Carnival and for the international singer Anitta.
4. She scripted, produced and filmed a documentary about the history of cachaça, the typical Brazilian distilled spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice. The video identifies the relatively new process of self-affirmation of Brazilian culture through the rescue of consumption and glamorization of the national drink. The work was selected to be part of the 11th Brazilian University Film Festival. As a bonus, Laíla has learned to make the perfect caipirinha. You can ask for the recipe!
5.  Laíla believes that the fact that she was born and raised in São Paulo, the vibrant and energetic megametropolis, with a nonstop entertainment offer and an extremely multi-ethnic background, made her want to be a citizen of the world. Laíla has visited more than 11 countries and lived in Brazil, Canada and Dubai.
6.  In fact, Laíla loves Toronto. She lived in the city for a while, after finishing college, and felt so in love with the University of Toronto campus that she decided to study there at some point. Promise fulfilled in 2016, when she returned to specialize in Digital Marketing Management.
7. During her time in Dubai, she found out there was very little content about the emirate in her native language, portuguese, so she developed a website specialized in tourist information applying all the knowledge gained in Canada.
8. Passionate about the art universe, Laíla took theater classes throughout her high school. Her consumer dream is to take a vacation to enjoy the whole Broadway circuit and also the productions at the West End Theater.
9. Laíla likes to binge-watch  good series, but it is in the cinema theater that she is happy. In Eindhoven you can easily find her at Natlab or Lab-1.
10. Eindhoven has a special place in her heart! After all, it was here that her son, little Otto, was born in 2018. Otto already transits between three languages (Portuguese, English and Dutch), has a real devotion to the Jurassic Park  franchise and loves The Beatles (although his mother likes George, he has already shown signs that he prefers Paul).
