Jorg Basten

• Jorg’s first job wasn’t a marketing job. Back in 2004 he started his professional career as an assistant to the Head of Production of one of the biggest events in Europe; ‘De Vierdaagsefeesten’ in Nijmegen.
• A trip into the Gobi Desert in Mongolia back in 2014 turned him into a vegetarian.
• Talking about traveling. Jorg likes to go off the beaten track! He travelled to remote places in Japan with friends in a tiny camper van, went to Tel Aviv for New Year’s and made spectacular dives at Jacques Cousteau’s favourite diving spot; the Wakatobi islands in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
• Jorg and his girlfriend Anne are expecting their first child this August. Exciting times!
• After work, Jorg can be found running in the hills and forests around Nijmegen, where he lives. He runs a fast 10K (38 minutes) and 15K (58 minutes).
• From July 1st, he will start a new temporary job as senior marketer B2B at Quintiq, a supply chain software company in Den Bosch and part of multinational company Dassault Systèmes.
• Coffee snob alert! It can be hard for him to find decent coffee at work. He owns three types of coffee machines, so the perfect brew is easily made at home!
• Having been part of Eindhoven365 as city marketer for 2,5 years, Jorg could be considered an ‘Eindhoven specialist’ without even living in the city!
• Jorg suffered from a sneaker addiction a few years ago. He bought a new pair every other week for over 9 months.
• During summer Jorg can be found frisbeeing (like a pro) in the park or drinking craft beer at the banks of the river Waal in Nijmegen.
